EmVenio Research, now rebranded as EmVenio Clinical Research (as of August 2025), is a clinical research organization specializing in decentralized and mobile clinical trials.
Originally founded in 2008 as PCM Trials, the organization has grown through acquisitions of Clinical Trial Service (Netherlands-based) and EmVenio Research, uniting under one brand to expand global access to clinical research. With operations in over 90 countries, EmVenio has supported more than 800 studies and conducted over 100,000 patient encounters, bringing clinical trials directly to patients in their homes and communities. The Phoenix, Arizona location serves as one of their community-based research sites. For nurses, EmVenio offers a unique role as Certified Mobile Research Nurses (CMRNs), which are per diem/PRN Registered Nursing positions. CMRNs conduct mobile visits for study participants, performing blood and urine specimen collection and processing, subcutaneous injections, investigational product (IP) management and drop-off, simultaneous visits with another clinician, and dosing visits. The patient population ranges from pediatric to adult (ages 12-65). This role requires collaboration with Clinical Project Managers, Coordinators, and site personnel, with emphasis on scheduling visits within required windows and submitting accurate source documentation. The role offers flexibility but involves travel to patients' locations and independent practice in a research rather than traditional clinical setting.
EmVenio's mission is to advance research for new life-saving medicine and unlock scientific potential for all populations. They achieve this by accessing patients who reflect the real world, delivering reliable expertise at every stage, and fostering genuine human connection. Their values center on making clinical trial participation more accessible and inclusive, with a warm, welcoming, and human-centered approach to care.
