LifeLink Foundation

Dana Shires, the organization has grown to more than 700 professionals operating across west-central Florida, Georgia, parts of South Carolina, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The foundation comprises five divisions: LifeLink of Florida, LifeLink of Georgia, LifeLink of Puerto Rico, LifeLink Transplantation Immunology Laboratory, and LifeLink Tissue Bank. In 2024, the organization honored 932 organ donors and facilitated 2,556 organ transplants. For nurses, LifeLink offers roles such as Transplant Coordinator and clinical recovery positions, operating in a highly specialized, mission-driven environment focused on organ and tissue recovery and donor family support rather than traditional bedside hospital nursing.
