About this role

The Ambulatory Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the practice of nursing. Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing. Qualifications: Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - IDFPR; BLS within 30 days - AHA; College Diploma in Nursing (Required). Responsibilities include providing competent health care, fetal non-stress tests, assisting with procedures (amniocentesis, IUD insertion/removal, cerclage removal), wound assessment/care, administering medications, telephone triage of obstetrical/post-partum/pre-pregnancy patients, patient education on prenatal screening, pre-eclampsia, preterm labor, diabetes in pregnancy.
