About this role

Rust Medical Center is seeking an RN for their acute step down unit. The step-down Progressive Care Unit cares for a variety of adult patients and conditions who require monitoring but does not warrant care in the Intensive Care Unit. Many patients require continuous monitoring and complex 24-hour care while working with specialized equipment in a fast-paced environment. The unit cares for patients with complications from chronic diseases such as diabetes, to post-op orthopedic patients, evaluation of those with cardiac changes, providing life saving interventions, collaborating with other specialties, and educating patients and family members.

Requirements

Minimum Associate Degree from accredited academic nursing program preferred
Registered Nurse-NM License or Compact State Nursing License
BLS certification required at time of hire
Acute care experience

Experience working with cardiac care patients
Experience working with individuals in post-surgery recovery
New graduate RN accepted
