About this role
The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of the home care agency and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant patient care. The DON provides leadership and supervision to all clinical staff, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), and clerical personnel. This position ensures compliance with all federal, state, and agency regulations while maintaining excellent patient outcomes and staff performance.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Previous home health or home care management experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of home care regulations and standards of practice
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound clinical decisions
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
