Certified Medical Assistant

You will work primarily alongside one family medicine physician in a small private practice environment where flexibility, reliability, and initiative are essential. Responsibilities and workflows may continue to expand as the practice grows. Ideal candidates are: * dependable and punctual * adaptable to change * comfortable with evolving workflows and responsibilities * able to stay productive throughout scheduled clinic hours * detail-oriented and efficient * professional with patients and staff * comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team Responsibilities * Room patients and obtain accurate vitals * Prepare patients for evaluation and treatment * Assist with exams and in-office procedures * Administer routine medications/injections per protocol * Perform EKGs, specimen handling, medication reconciliation, and other standard clinical MA duties * Document accurately and efficiently in the EHR * Assist with chart preparation, refill workflows, prior authorizations, referrals, and general clinic flow * Support front and back office operations as needed * Maintain a clean, organized, professional clinical environment * Assist in a practice that includes Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) Required Qualifications * Medical Assistant certification (CMA) required * Minimum 6 months to 1 year hands-on outpatient MA experience required * Family medicine or primary care experience strongly preferred * New graduates without outpatient clinical experience will not be considered * CNA-only, administrative-only, or externship-only experience is not sufficient * Strong computer and EHR skills required * Athenahealth experience strongly preferred * Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and strong communication skills * Ability to manage responsibilities independently and adapt within a growing practice environment Why Join Our Practice * Small physician-led private practice (dual osteopathic and family medicine) * Consistent daytime schedule with strong work-life balance * Close one-on-one provider collaboration * Opportunity to grow with an expanding clinic * Supportive, accountable team culture Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 28.0 – 32.0 per week Benefits: * Dental insurance * Health insurance * On-the-job training * Paid sick time * Paid time off * Paid training * Vision insurance Application Question(s): * Do you currently hold or have you previously held a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) certification?
