About this role

Registered Nurse position in the Women's Triage Unit at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. Provides full spectrum of care for obstetrical and gynecological patients in a Level III Perinatal Center. Responsibilities include complex assessment, high intensity interventions, continuous nursing vigilance, monitoring specialized equipment, responding to life-saving situations, developing individualized care plans, serving as preceptor/charge nurse/unit educator, and coordinating patient care. Requires at least 1 year of experience as an OB/GYN or L&D Registered Nurse. Graduate of approved school of nursing with current Florida RN licensure or NLC, BLS/Healthcare Provider certification required; ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC required for certain areas.

relative to his or her age specific needs. Coordinates the care and delegates as appropriate to other team members on a defined group of patients. Documents patient care in a knowledgeable, skillful, and consistent manner meeting all required and regulatory standards. This includes but is not limited to patient assessment, education, medication administration, treatments, and patient safety. Demonstrates competency in nursing skills and use of patient care/unit equipment as defined by unit/department-specific requisite skills. Prioritizes patient care in an ongoing manner in accordance with Evidence-Based Practice Standards of Care.
