J52 is a 24-bed Thoracic Stepdown unit caring for a patient population with a wide range of medical conditions from pre-cardiac catheterization, and percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), to electrophysiological studies for arrhythmias, ICD, pacemakers and unstable angina to post thoracic surgical patients recovering from lobectomies, pneumonectomies, thoracoscopic bilateral lung volume reductions for emphysema and esophagogastrectomies. A caregiver in this position works day/night rotation 7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon or within first year of hire (if in a Critical Care area)
New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
