About this role
The Ambulatory Nurse is a clinical practitioner who coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age and type of patient population served in the assigned departments. She/he ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards of care. She/he demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, vision and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice; and treats patients, families, staff, and physicians with respect and consideration.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Currently licensed in the State of Maryland as a Registered Nurse
Successful completion of required hospital, nursing and unit orientation, including medication certification
ACLS Certification for PACU or eligible for completion within six (6) months from date of position
Minimum of eighteen (18) months of clinical experience to apply for advancement
Knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span
Knowledgeable and sensitive to patient's rights in the delivery of care
