Resident Care Coordinator

Attends staff meetings and conducts staff meeting if the DON is unavailable. Provides reports and recommendations to the DON concerning the operation of nursing services Assists the DON in the design, implementation and evaluation of nursing systems that ensure consistent delivery of care and maintains and promotes resident rights. Assists DON with conducting ongoing in-services for the nursing staff Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the position regarding residents and employees. Must keep abreast of regulatory changes and communicate changes appropriately. Supervisory Requirements Assists with the overall supervision and management of the nursing staff. Qualification Education and/or Experience Minimum requirements to perform this position include graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred. Must be in good standing with the State Board of Nursing and maintain all required continuing education/licensing requirements. 3-5 years of nurse management, preferably in a long term care facility. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees. Mathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations To preform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in the Microsoft Suite products. Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred. Must maintain all required continuing education/licensing. Must remain in good standing with the State Board of Nursing at all times.
