About this role
The Ambulatory and Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN), a member of Advocate Health Nursing Professional Governance community, provides high-quality, patient-centered care through evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and compassionate care delivery in an ambulatory care setting. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, advocates for patient needs, and upholds professional practice standards to promote optimal health outcomes.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5PM, No weekends currently required. This RN role helps support the monitoring and recovery of patients prior to discharge. Advocate Heart Institute in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood provides advanced electrophysiology care for patients with complex heart rhythm disorders.
Requirements
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS Certification
Outpatient experience
Experience working with cardiac care patients
Cardiac rhythm analysis
IV insertion
