*Duties*
* Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
* Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions, immunizations, and specialized treatments like botulinum toxin therapy.

* Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, and sterile processing to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
* Manage acute pain and provide critical care support in settings like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers, utilizing advanced physiology knowledge and airway management techniques.
* Conduct diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing, radiology procedures like CT scans or sonography, and infection control protocols.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and long-term care strategies for patients in hospice & palliative medicine or geriatrics.
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining accurate medical documentation and medical records while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
* Engage in patient education and health coaching to promote wellness initiatives across outpatient clinics or home & community care environments.
*Requirements*
* Valid nursing license (RN) with current registration in the state of practice.
* Proven experience in diverse clinical areas such as emergency medicine, medical-surgical units, ICU, or pediatric care.
* Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for documentation and order entry.
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards, CPT coding for procedures, and nursing best practices.
* Experience with specialized treatments such as dialysis, ostomy care, neurovascular procedures like spinal tap or PICU management preferred.
* Critical care experience including Level I Trauma Center or Level II trauma center exposure highly desirable.
* Ability to perform advanced skills such as IV insertion/venipuncture, aseptic technique, ventilator management, and infection control measures.
* Excellent communication skills for triage assessments, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration in urgent care or outpatient settings.
* Knowledge of healthcare laws including Workers' Compensation law and familiarity with HCPCS codes is advantageous.
* Additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Ventilator management or DME experience are a plus.
